Too Much Free Time?

Posted on

I’m seeing the months fly by faster and faster which means that graduation is in my near future. This means that I may be done with school for the rest of my life and can actually spend all my time on work and my career. But what do you do with all the free time? Should you just stay in school to get a second masters or maybe a law degree or something similar? Or do you just enjoy the extra free time to start your hobbies back up or take a few more vacations? Or do you find a second job at nights and weekends? What about taking a large part in a softball league?

I’ve thought about the best move for me once I graduate and just have my career to focus on. I see it being beneficial to stay at work longer and maybe reading training materials in place of the homework I was used to. Take more time on the weekends to experience new fun activities to beat up the work week grind.

If you get too bored, just go back to school for a more specialized degree. It will only help you in the future and will keep you out of trouble! You should have an OK feel on what you want to do for your career..maybe…but it may be more beneficial to you to be more specialized in your area.

I can’t wait to be done with school!! And when I am done, I am going to take full advantage of cooking dinner at night as opposed to chowing down bagged dinners before class. I’m also going to catch up on every TV show I have missed out on since high school. I’m going to take more walks with my dog and actually meet up with friends after work as opposed to saying “I have class/homework/a group project.”
